Sample system configuration

Each MH5116 digital video surveillance system can support up to 16 camera inputs and display images on the screen. The system also has recording and playback functions, and provides a variety of digital recording options, so users can choose a comprehensive system configuration to meet their needs. Figure 1-1 shows an example of a system configuration with 16 cameras and a VGA monitor.

<Figure 2.> The system configuration diagram represents a typical configuration used by a large site. In this configuration, there are multiple MH5116 systems that work with each other through IEEE 1394, and the data is finally completed by a MH5116 backup server.

The system digitizes the signal input from the camera and compresses it into H.263 format files and stores them on the hard disk. These files can be retrieved for other functions. Users can retrieve any file stored on any MH5116 hard disk via IEEE 1394 communication for backup on the MH5116 server. They can also use the software provided to retrieve the file and save or print the selected still picture on the screen.
